Dear Parishioners of St. Matthias,
Out of an abundance of caution and with sincere concern for the safety of our parish family, I regret to inform you that due to the dangerous and inclement weather forecast for this Sunday, the 8:00 am, 10:00 am, and 12:00 pm Masses will be CANCELLED. Be mindful that the 8:00 am Mass on Monday and Adoration that evening will most likely be cancelled as well.
In order to continue to provide opportunities to participate in the celebration of the Eucharist this weekend, 2 SATURDAY VIGIL MASSES will be offered at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Both Masses will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend in person, or choose to remain home and watch on Sunday morning.
While this decision is never made lightly, the well-being of our parishioners must take priority, especially given the anticipated hazardous travel conditions. Due to the amount of snow expected, we will have to keep our parking lot clear because our maintenance team will plow as the snow comes down, so we can reopen in a timely manner.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued care for one another. May the Lord keep you and your loved ones safe, and may He grant us peace and protection through this storm.
In Christ,
Fr. Tom
